personal statement

here's a sentence i just wrote in my personal statement on a law school application that i am certainly NOT leaving in there:

I became alarmed by the practices of certain industries, which seemed to be guided by iterations of the mantra “exploit, rationalize, repeat.” 

my essay so far is mostly about kayaking.

    Nate,

    I really like the sentence you're omitting from your law school app's personal statement. It's a shame you're not leaving it in there, but then again, maybe it just didn't fit with the rest of the essay?

    Otherwise, I'd like to think that only the Law School's that are worth your time and as I see it worth a damn in general would respond favorably to such a statement.
